I’m Laura Burton, a brand and digital designer based in Glasgow with over eight years of experience across agency and in-house roles. I work at the intersection of design and strategy, helping brands from independent businesses to large, multi-site organisations build clear, effective identities across print and digital.

Since 2017, I’ve led and contributed to projects across finance, e-commerce, hospitality, and the public sector. My approach is grounded in user-first thinking, accessibility, and strong visual systems, with a focus on creating design that supports business goals and scales across platforms.

At Scotsman Group, I help shape the digital presence of over 60 hotels, bars, restaurants, and venues across Scotland.

  • Led the design and development of the Scotsman Events website using WordPress (Elementor, ACF) and custom code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

  • Designed and implemented a dynamic event filtering system to improve discoverability by location, category, and capacity

  • Created bespoke booking forms and optimised user journeys to increase enquiries and conversions

  • Improved mobile UX through custom full-screen navigation and mobile-first design enhancements

  • Introduced and rolled out accessibility improvements across multiple group websites to deliver more inclusive user experiences

  • Worked closely with internal stakeholders, marketing teams, and venue managers to translate business requirements into effective digital solutions
