About

I’m a brand and web designer with over eight years of experience across agencies and in-house teams. I care about work that’s well-considered, design that’s accessible, purposeful, and built to last, not just to impress on a screen.

Currently at Scotsman Hospitality, I lead design and development across a portfolio of 60+ hotels, bars, and venues, owning everything from UX strategy and WordPress architecture to custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript features. I’ve driven accessibility improvements, built dynamic filtering systems, and shaped the digital presence of key brands including the Scotsman Collection and Cabaret Voltaire. Before that, four years at Nettl gave me a broad grounding across branding, print, and digital for clients spanning hospitality, e-commerce, finance, and local businesses, managing projects end-to-end and working directly with clients from brief to delivery.

Across both roles, I’ve consistently worked at the intersection of design and front-end development, comfortable in Figma and equally comfortable in the code.

Scotsman Group | Nov 2023 – Present
At Scotsman Group, I help shape the digital presence of over 60 hotels, bars, restaurants, and venues across Scotland.

  • Led the design and development of the Scotsman Events website using WordPress (Elementor, ACF) and custom code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

  • Designed and implemented a dynamic event filtering system to improve discoverability by location, category, and capacity

  • Created bespoke booking forms and optimised user journeys to increase enquiries and conversions

  • Improved mobile UX through custom full-screen navigation and mobile-first design enhancements

  • Introduced and rolled out accessibility improvements across multiple group websites to deliver more inclusive user experiences

  • Worked closely with internal stakeholders, marketing teams, and venue managers to translate business requirements into effective digital solutions

  • Maintained brand consistency across a large portfolio while tailoring designs to suit individual venue identities

  • Balanced ongoing site improvements with rapid turnaround requests in a fast-paced, multi-brand environment

    At Nettl, I focused on mobile-first, responsive web design and brand development:

    • Delivered end-to-end website projects, from discovery and wireframing through to design handover, with usability and accessibility at the core

    • Led branding initiatives including logo design, print collateral, email campaigns, and social media assets

    • Presented design concepts and rationale to clients and key stakeholders, confidently articulating design decisions and gathering feedback
