Scotsman Weddings
As part of my work with Scotsman Group, I designed and built Scotsman Weddings - a central digital platform showcasing the group's portfolio of unique and luxurious wedding venues across Scotland. The project called for a considered balance between visual elegance and functional clarity. Engaged couples arriving at the site are often early in their planning journey, so the experience needed to feel genuinely inspiring while guiding them naturally toward enquiry without ever feeling sales-led or transactional.
I developed a visual system that gave each property its own sense of identity within a cohesive brand framework, ensuring the group's breadth of offering felt curated rather than overwhelming. Navigation was structured around how couples actually explore wedding venues for example by setting, capacity, location, and style rather than defaulting to a standard directory layout. This meant making deliberate information hierarchy decisions early in the process, mapping user journeys to understand where intent was high and where friction was most likely to occur. Particular attention was given to the enquiry flow. Rather than a single generic contact form, the experience was designed to gently qualify interest and surface the most relevant venue options, reducing back-and-forth for the events team and improving the quality of leads from the outset. The result is a platform that reflects the prestige of The Scotsman Group's venues while remaining genuinely easy to use serving both the couples discovering it for the first time and the team converting that interest into bookings.
